GMAN Bar Spotting Consultants will create an assignment specific to your particular needs. With our background as former bartenders our main focus of spotting expertise is in the bar area, yet we can also study your waitstaff and dining room operations. Our anonymous visits will allow us to blend in with your patrons without suspicion from your staff and generally take ninety minutes to two hours to completion. Our report based on the observations we compile will be submitted to you in a timely fashion.

The areas of spotting we focus on include:

• Bartender interaction with patrons

• Friendliness, demeanor, professionalism

• Bar cleanliness

• Speed of service at the main bar as well as the service bar

• Knowledge of cocktails as well as the food menu

• Pouring habits/over pouring

• Proactive up-selling abilities

• Patron follow-up on drinks and food

• Ignoring, not observing patron's needs

• Consistent interaction with patrons

• Failure to ring in drinks to the POS, create tabs with credit cards

• Not completing immediate cash transactions

• Pouring free drinks without accountability, not using a bar spill or comp check if one exists to record these free drinks

• Theft of any kind to include skimming pooled tips or money taken from the register

• Leaving the bar unattended for a period of time beyond reason

• Not requesting/checking ID's for those patrons suspicious of being underage

In addition to our expertise in the bar/restaurant business we can also perform these duties for the hotel industry as spotters/secret shoppers. We are ready to assist you to protect your establishment or just to ensure it is operating to your standards and procedures.
