GMAN Bar Spotting Consultants will create an assignment  specific to your particular needs.  With our background as former bartenders our main focus of spotting expertise is in the bar area, yet we can also study your waitstaff and dining operations. Our anonymous visits will allow us to blend in with your customers without suspicion and generally last ninety minutes or more.  Our report based on the observations we compile will be submitted to you in a timely fashion.    

The areas of spotting we focus on include: 

• Bartender interaction with customers
• Friendliness, demeanor, professionalism
• Bar cleanliness
• Speed of service at main bar and waitstaff service bar
• Knowledge of cocktails and food menu
• Pouring habits/over pouring
• Proactive up-selling abilities
• Customer follow-up on drinks and food
• Ignoring, not observing customers in need
• Failure to ring in drinks, create tabs with credit card
• Not making immediate cash transactions
• Pouring free drinks without accountability, not using a bar spill check to record these free drinks if one exists
• Theft of any kind to include skimming pooled tips or money from the register
• Leaving the bar unattended for a period of time beyond reason
• Not requesting/checking ID's for those suspicious of being minors
